Connecting Kidz is a mobile practice that provides trauma informed solutions for families and professionals in a fun, nurturing, & supportive therapeutic environment while believing in a child's potential to flourish.
The program is heavily influenced by TBRI® (Trust Based Relational Intervention). You will learn to empower your children to succeed, connect at a deep level, and calmly correct difficult behaviors & emotions. Watch the joy, fun and laughter return to your life.
Classes that will teach you understanding of those challenging and difficult behaviors & emotions and how to handle them.
Discover how TBRI® Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting principles are empowering families to overcome deficits in attachment, brain development, and sensory processing.
Sometimes families will need more than what you can learn from at a workshop, website, DVD, or book to address behavioral dysregulation in the home. Parents are taught through play with modeling and demonstration, allowing time for practice and increased confidence in applying the strategies.
We believe in helping you empower your child

Amy graduated from Creighton University in 2000 as an Occupational Therapist and has worked with children and families in a variety of settings. In 2016, she adopted her children from foster care and became a TBRI® Practitioner in 2018 after learning traditional parenting strategies were not effective for her children. She enjoys volunteering for Royal Family Kids Camp, walking, spending time with family, Husker Football, and reading. She founded Connecting Kidz in 2019 and is thankful for the journey that led her to discovering connected parenting for her family and devotes her life and education to helping other families and children overcome challenging behaviors to heal, learn and grow.
